Special Needs

Everyone is created in God’s image and is deserving of love. Those who have intellectual disabilities deserve the opportunity to know and learn about how much God loves them. The church is complete only when it includes all of God’s children and when all people are seen as equals – in God’s eyes and in our own eyes.

Friendship

Friendship serves those with intellectual and developmental disabilities by delivering monthly “Friendship Boxes” to individuals age 13 to 99 in Wayne, Ontario and Monroe Counties.  Each box includes a personal DVD with fun music & dancing and a quick lesson for the month. Everyone receives a craft or activity to help reinforce the lesson as well as a yummy treat tray provided by our very own volunteers.
Our goal is to help those with special needs take their next step in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to feel loved by God and Cross Creek!

We serve private family homes as well as Group Homes. If you’d like more information about Friendship, or would like to talk with us, let us know below.

Night to Shine

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.  The Tim Tebow Foundation sponsors the annual event held the Friday before Valentine’s Day in churches around the world.
