Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments.
Yesterday we learned about having a pure heart and that God does not care as much about the action as He does the purity behind what is done.
Well, today we are going to learn about these two things combined: having a pure heart and delighting in His commandments. When we have a desire to live for God, our attitude changes to a longing for pleasing Him.
The word fear in the verse above can be a bit concerning. But it is not a fear in the sense of fearing the wrath of God after you made a mistake. Rather it is a fear of disappointing Your Heavenly Father and having reverence and awe of Him. It is a “fear” that is fueled by a desire to do your very best because of the love He has for you and your love for Him! Let us praise the Lord for all of His goodness and strive to be the best version of ourselves; the people He created us to be, following the guidelines He has set in place for each one of us!
Dear God, Thank You for Your love. We know that this abundant love can fill each of our hearts and be passed onto others. Help us to go forth and share Your love today. We love YOU because You first loved us! Thank You! In Jesus Name, Amen
