Father,
Today there are so many of us who are tired from the journey. The road we thought we were on, looks so different now. The journey has changed us too. Sometimes it’s hard to even recognize ourselves. For some of us our pace has slowed to almost a stop. We find ourselves looking for landmarks that show us we are on the right track…but mostly, we feel alone.
So, today we choose to rest in the promise of these words. Their gift is the hope they provide – that in every circumstance – no matter what it looks like, or how it feels, or how it’s changed us…that we are never alone. In You we can find the rest we so desperately long for as we surrender the rest of the journey to Your care and to Your hands. Amen.
