Read Jeremiah 17:7 ESV

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.

Let’s take a look at the definition of trust. Isn’t it interesting that trust is both a noun and a verb? It is a “thing” and also an action word. As a noun trust is defined as a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something. According to this definition, how would you rate your trust in God? When I think about this question I think of a cute little amphibian who hops along carelessly, making joyful noises. It makes sense the acronym F-R-O-G, is used to remember the phrase Fully Rely On God.

The second definition of the word trust is a verb and is stated almost as if it is a command: believe in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of…  In order to live by trust, we must believe! What do you believe in? What do you put your trust in? Where does your strength come from?

Let’s pray:

Dear God,

Thank You for the many blessings You continue to provide. We are alive today because You created us and breathed air into our lungs and You keep our hearts beating. Life is a miracle. Lord, help us to remember and witness to others all the miracles that take place all around us. As we walk together with others, help us to strengthen one another’s faith and draw nearer to You. You are our power source and we put our trust in You. We can’t wait to see all that You are able to do! In Jesus Name, Amen.
