Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
How do we receive God’s blessing?
The answer is found in Luke 6:38. These are words spoken by Jesus: He instructs us to “give, and it shall be given unto you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” This is a command and a promise all in one verse! Jesus is asking us to give and assures us that in return we shall receive.
In Malachi 3:10-12 the Lord promises that if we do our part by “bringing the full tithe into the storehouse” the reward will be “overflowing blessings.” He even challenges us to “put Him to the test” assuring us that if we do give, we shall receive all that we need.
What are you willing to give to receive the Lord’s blessing for your life?
The tithe refers to a tenth. That is all that the Lord asks of us – one tenth. One tenth in exchange for ALL we need! Are you willing to give a tenth of your time, your earnings, yourself? Give and you shall receive!
Lord, We come to You with a simple offering. You ask so little of us, yet You give so freely. We give thanks for Your blessings. In Jesus Name, Amen
