Today we see Paul and Timothy as they carried out the plans God had for them. They traveled together on their mission to share the Good News throughout Galatia and beyond. The last verse says this: “so the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily….”! This is so exciting to see.
Paul and Timothy may seem like an unlikely duo. Paul had a rather intense personality and Timothy was by nature more timid and reserved. These two opposites were united by God to be a team and because of their obedience the number of believers in the faith grew daily. I don’t know about you, but this is pretty exciting….and inspiring!
Look at your own life: ask yourself if you have a friend in the faith that may be very different from you in personality and approach. What could you learn from the way they live their faith? How could your differences complement one another and spur one another on to share with others the Good News of the love of Jesus? Take a moment to thank God for the friendships you have in the faith.
Perhaps you don’t have a personal friendship with other believers. Spend some time in prayer asking God to reveal to you a person or people with whom you can spend time to allow your faith to grow and reach its fullest potential for His glory!
