Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed amazing miracles and signs among the people.
I love that Stephen is described as a man full of both God’s grace and God’s power! I believe this is how God calls each of us to live – fully surrendered to the grace of His love, but dialed in to the strength and power which that very same grace provides, in order to heal our hearts and our bodies so that we can really live as He intended. Living fully in God’s grace and power is a beautiful picture of what Jesus is like.
Heavenly Father,
Today we ask You to help us to be people full of Your grace and Your power. That we might live resting in the knowledge that Your love has been poured out on us even though we could never be good enough to deserve it. But that we might also stand in the power of that love to proclaim Your name to those who are far from You. Humble us to look more and more like Your Son and use us to bring You glory and to make Your name known. Amen.
