And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Lord,
I want my life to be a constant expression of worship to you. But I recognize that I often fall short. My agenda and my plans often get in the way and I neglect to offer up my day and my activities to You to use as You see fit. Instead, I work at checking things off lists and boosting my sense of self accomplishment. I take my heart and my life into my own control and remove them from the altar of worship. I am sorry for the days when my life resembles something more like willful brash noise than true worship of who You are. Give me eyes to see the opportunities You place before me to serve those around me. Help me to set aside my agenda and give my whole self to You and who You are calling me to be. Amen.
