Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
The human body is fascinating! The way it is designed with different parts, all functioning alongside and in conjunction with each other, is nothing short of miraculous! And what a beautiful picture it creates of what the Church is supposed to look like!
We are all perfectly and uniquely designed to work with each other in a seamless coordinated effort to bring the love and light of Jesus to the world!
Heavenly Father,
Creator and master Designer – You are wonderful and holy! Most of the time I cannot wrap my head around your love for us. You have created us with uniqueness and purpose, even though you knew we would be willful and prone to wandering far from your heart. Yet, you still choose us…to love us and to use us to be the method of revealing yourself to the world. Thank you for the wonderful way you have designed your church to move and breathe as one body representing you. You are patient with us, you offer grace, and you empower us in ways that we cannot comprehend. Help us to lean into our role in your church, trusting in you for our next step. May we hold each other up and point each other to you as we aim to be your people. Let unity in Christ be the thing that binds us together as we pray, speak and act in your name. Amen.
