Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
Today’s verses give yet another glimpse into the heart with which Priscilla and Aquila served. Paul outwardly expresses his gratitude for the way they served him so unselfishly – even to the point of risking their own lives for Paul’s sake. Their willingness to risk it all so that Christ could be made known, allowed Paul’s ministry to continue, blessing all the gentile churches that Paul would come in contact with. What a ripple effect was created because of their faithfulness and boldness!
I believe that Priscilla and Aquila saw God moving powerfully through Paul’s ministry and went all in – using their gifts, their time, and their talents so that the move of God they were watching would continue. Let’s be encouraged today to look around us to really see the places God is moving. And then let’s step in and faithfully serve to encourage, lift up and further God’s work in the people around us. Let the ripples begin because of our faithfulness!
