Read Psalm 95:1-5 NIV

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;

    let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before him with thanksgiving

    and extol him with music and song.

For the Lord is the great God,

    the great King above all gods.

In his hand are the depths of the earth,

    and the mountain peaks belong to him.

The sea is his, for he made it,

    and his hands formed the dry land.

This time of year in Upstate NY it is pretty easy for me to be amazed and marvel at God’s creation. With the hillsides alive with the changing of the leaves and the harvest of so many fruits and vegetables from the fields and backyard gardens, I have only to step outside my door and look around to be reminded of God’s amazing power and design. The reality is that the depth and magnitude of God’s creation is always around us – we just don’t always stop and take the time to notice it. But what a thing to be celebrated creation is! God created all of it and placed us – humans, in the center of it all to care for it and to benefit from its bounty.(Genesis 1:26-30) What an amazing gift. Let’s spend today giving thanks and celebrating what God has made and the blessing and provision His creation is to us.
