The Kingdom of the Rescued
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13–14
What happens when grace changes more than our destination?
We often think of salvation in terms of what we’ve escaped: sin, judgment, separation from God. But Paul describes something equally remarkable. We’ve been transferred into a new kingdom, given a new identity, and invited into a different way of living.
What if we lived as though grace wasn’t simply an event in our past? What if we lived as though it was the beginning of a new story daily?
The question isn’t merely, “What has God saved me from?” It’s also, “What kind of person am I becoming because He saved me?”
