Teamwork makes the dream work
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
About two years ago, my husband and I watched The Forge, a Christian drama film that is focused on discipleship, accountability and spiritual growth through mentorship.
The movie follows a 19 year old young man who lacks the direction and desire to do anything other than play video games. His mother gives him an ultimatum and a business owner offers him a job. Through prayer, determination and motivation we witness this young man’s transformation.
The movie is a true inspiration and reminder of how we move forward together! We see how goals are accomplished when we all put forth the effort and use the gifts God has instilled in us.
I’d like to encourage you to think about ways to mentor someone using the gifts the Lord has given you. How will you help someone take their next step in their faith walk?
Lord, We pray that You will show us ways to build each other up and encourage one another. Help us to use the gifts You have given us to glorify You and serve in Your kingdom. As You lead us, we will trust in You and Your mighty plans. Amen
