Life is better together
Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not have all the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all others.
I have a bright red t-shirt that reads “Life is better together.” I love wearing it. It is a Cross Creek OG – promoting groups. I remember wearing it to the mall, meeting up with my brother to purchase a gift for our dad. My brother’s thoughtfulness landed us at the mall on a mission.
Our dad had lost the stone to his birthstone ring that was given to him by his parents 60 years prior.
My brother was the one who noticed Dad had not been wearing his ring. Dad confessed to losing the stone while working on a project outside – he took off the incomplete ring and put it away. My brother commissioned me to retrieve the ring from Dad’s house without him knowing. I made arrangements with my step mother to come over when Dad was away and together the two of us located the empty gold band.
That missing stone from the old class ring was the very thing that brought my brother and me together on a mission. We were determined to fill the void. And we did it…TOGETHER!
