Read Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Lord,
Help me to say yes to living a generous life. A life that reflects your generosity. So often my pride and my desires take over and I am stingy with my time, with my emotions, and my finances. I put blinders on and I focus on taking care of me. But I want to live generously and point others to you and your enormous – generous love! Guide me to use the gifts you have given me well. I give them to you with open hands, trusting you to provide for me and to renew me as I dare to live generously.
