Read Psalm 90:10-12

“Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away…..Teach us to number our days”

Life is short.  We spend so much of it being so busy that we become stressed, have less joy, are less productive, and are not able to hear the voice of God.  We tend to live as if we have an endless supply of days.  What if we lived as if we truly knew that we have a limited amount of days?  What if we truly lived each day in a less busy, more joy-filled, healthy way?  When we begin to live this way, we can embrace its wisdom and we can begin to declutter our schedules.

How?  Ask yourself these four questions:

  1. How can I spend my time more wisely?
  2. What do I need to add to my schedule?
  3. What do I need to remove from my schedule?
  4. How can I listen more to the voice of God?

Heavenly Father, thank You for the time You have given me!  I desire to have margin in every area of my life – physical, spiritual, emotional and financial. Help me to be wise with my time, to seek some space and to honor You with the way I spend each moment with which You have blessed me.  Amen
