Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters. And continue to walk surrendered to the extravagant love of Christ, for he surrendered his life as a sacrifice for us. His great love for us was pleasing to God, like an aroma of adoration—a sweet healing fragrance.
Lord,
Strip away anything in me that doesn’t look like You. Remind me of Your imprint on my life and who I am, and help me to live as Your daughter or son – fully loved, perfectly created, and full of Your love for those around me. Help me to fix my thoughts on You and the path You have for my life. Order my steps and my actions so that Your extravagant love can be seen in me and through me without a question of where it stems from. Let that love bring healing both to my weary soul when I need it and then let it flow from me to the people You put in my path today, tomorrow, and every day after. Amen.
