“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6

Of course we know that we seek guidance from God through prayer, yet I all too often forget to pray as part of creating and/or maintaining healthy relationships with people in my life, or before making commitments of time.

We have a little joke saying in our family that we use when we’ve made a decision that could have been better: “We made the best decision we could with the information we had at the time.”

When we trust God wholeheartedly, give up our reliance on human understanding and submit our lives to His guidance, we will find ourselves where God wants us to be. The reality of trusting God means that we have time for those things that are in the center of His plan for us, and therefore the “uncontrollables” of life have less impact on our margin.

And God says to us:

““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬

PRAY: “Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Word and thank You that You promise to give us rest when we come to You.  Help me to find margin in my life, while loving You and those You have put in my life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen”
