“I’m burned out.”

When we hear this phrase it brings to mind our current or past struggles with having done too much at once, or the same thing for too long.  It often comes with a sense that we’ve had no time to catch our breath, literally or figuratively.  It always comes with a sense that we need to make a change to bring balance back into our lives.  To create margin.

I like how Rick Warren defines margin: “the space between your load and your limits.”

Consider this:  God wants to relieve your burden.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30

This week, as we consider the value of margin in our lives, let’s meditate on and claim Matthew 11:28-30.  Jesus wants us to come to Him with the things that are troubling us and will help us find rest.

PRAY: “Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Word and thank You that You promise to give us rest when we come to You.  Help me to find margin in my life, while loving You and those You have put in my life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen”
