Read: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NRSV

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

God has a perfect plan and purpose for everything that happens in my life. He knows the best timing for every event, every opportunity, and every challenge. He is not bound by my expectations, my deadlines, or my impatience.

Sometimes I struggle with waiting on God’s timing. I want things to happen according to my schedule and my preferences. I get anxious, frustrated, or discouraged when things don’t go my way. I wonder why God is taking so long or why He is allowing certain situations to persist.

But when I trust in God’s timing, I can experience peace, joy, and hope. I can rest in the assurance that He is working all things together for my good and His glory (Romans 8:28). I can surrender my plans and desires to Him and let Him lead me in His perfect will. I can enjoy the present moment and the blessings He has given me, instead of worrying about the future or regretting the past.

I want to live by God’s time and not by my time. I want to align my thoughts, words, and actions with His word and His Spirit. I want to honor Him with every season of my life. That’s why I need to seek Him daily and listen to His voice. He is the only one who can show me the right time for everything.

Pray: Lord, thank You for being my time and my eternity. Help me to trust in Your timing and not in my own. Help me to wait on You with patience and faith. Help me to follow Your guidance and direction. In Jesus’ name, amen.
