To live a life with open hands means to live a life of surrender. It means trusting God with everything! As we open our hands in an act of trust and surrender, the result will always be receiving blessings in return. As we let go of all our worldly views and possessions, we receive a peace that surpasses all understanding, a joy that transcends any circumstances and true freedom.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, give me the faith to loosen my grip on the things of this world, so that I may gain the greater spiritual blessings found only in Your Son. Amen
