But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
At age 22, I was running away from God and everything that I knew God wanted me to be and do. It led me to a dark place. I was depressed, lonely and very far from home. I was at the end of my rope when a package came from my dad. Inside was an eagle he had carved with this verse inscribed on it.
Whenever I read this verse I think about how God used my dad to find me where I was, renew my strength and pursue God again.
