You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Life often takes twists and turns, and when it does, we find ourselves in situations where our surroundings are unfamiliar, and we aren’t quite sure what to do in order to move forward. I imagine that is how the disciples might have felt as Jesus sent them out on their own. They had watched him heal people and help people find freedom…but now they were on their own. Walking into the unknown.
But the disciples didn’t go out in their own power. Jesus gave them all they would need. He sent them out with the power of his name to do incredible things. …And they did! The same is true for us! We do not walk into this life alone or by our own power. We can walk in confidence with the power of Jesus Christ, who lives within us. Fear and the unknown don’t have to keep us from the things God has planned for us because He is greater than anything we could ever face. His power is graciously given to you and to me so that the world might experience his power through us.
Go out in power today, wherever he might send you!
