Week 2 – Prayer for your family
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. I desire to be like the tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season. I desire to prosper and live in the way of the righteous. I know I cannot be righteous or bear good fruit without You and without Your Word in my heart. Lord, reveal to me any sin or unrighteousness that I need to rid of in my life that will not bear good fruit. I desire to yield good fruit, Lord. Fruit that will bring love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I know that fruit can only come by Your grace and spending time with You. Thank You for loving me and for watering me with Your Word so that I can show Your love to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
