Read Mark 5: 32-33

“….Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet, and trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth.”

Jesus didn’t let the miracle remain anonymous. He was looking around to find her….He knew who she was. He called her forward. I wonder if maybe she was thinking she could just quietly and discreetly receive her healing and be on her merry little way. However, Jesus made it personal. She was not only healed physically, but he also restored her emotionally and spiritually.

Our faith can bring us out of our hiding. It invites us into a relationship where we are fully seen and fully loved. When this woman came forward, she shared everything with Jesus. She left it all there, at His feet. This was a very intimate and personal moment, but this moment occurred in the midst of a crowd! Her story was witnessed by the others in the crowd. Jesus chose to use her bold faith as an example for those who were watching. I wonder how their faith grew because of what they saw? I wonder how many others would experience healing because of her willingness to MOVE and to reach out?

Key Point: God doesn’t just want to heal you – He wants to restore you!

Question: Where am I hiding in my relationship with God? Do I fear being fully seen? Why?

Prayer: God, give me the courage to step into the light. Help me step toward You and trust Your love for me. Amen.
