Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.
Isn’t it beautiful, the way in which God provides for us so that we, in gratitude, can help provide for others?! But His provision isn’t limited to just things. He gives us the gift of time and talents and treasure to fill our lives and make them rich. His desire is that we – his people – would learn to be as generous as He is; that our hearts would be shaped by his generosity so that we might live generously too. People who are open-handed give freely and kindly, whether they’re donating money, giving gifts, or offering help.
Father, thank You for the many ways by which You have provided for us. Help us to be generous with all that we have and to share it with others. Amen.
