For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
One of the most exciting moments for moms and dads to be, is the day you get to see your unborn child on an ultrasound. You catch a glimpse of tiny fingers and toes and dream of where those hands and feet will someday take that child in life. It is hard to be patient to see what life will hold for that precious new child.
God has never needed an ultrasound machine to see us and He has more than just dreams for us. He truly sees us. He sees who we are on the outside and who we are on the inside. He has carefully planned each and every moment of our lives.
Sometimes we rush through one moment of our lives to get to the next, and in the process we miss out. Each moment God has planned for you is precious because it is an opportunity for Him to show you how much He loves you. Slow down and rest in the peace of knowing that God knows all about you and that His plan for you is good.
