”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

”The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

John 1:1 signifies the eternal existence and divine nature of Jesus, referred to as “the Word.” It asserts that Jesus existed before time began, alongside God, and is Himself God. It underscores the concept of the Trinity, with Jesus being distinct from God the Father yet fully divine. The “Word” embodies the divine expression, communication, and revelation of God to humanity, ultimately culminating in Jesus Christ’s incarnation.

I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that when God wanted to express Himself to us that He used the Word.

Another example of the power of the Word is the beginning of creation itself:

”And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.“ ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God spoke creation into existence.

Just before Jesus went up to heaven after He rose from the dead He told his disciples:

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Have you ever thought that God has given you the ability, through his Spirit, to speak life into other people through telling your story of what Jesus has done in your life?

The Jesus that we know is the same Jesus that was with God in the creation of the world and through His Spirit remains with us and in all believers today.

Ask God in prayer how He wants to use your story in the lives of other people.  Ask Him also to provide the person (or people) at just the right time for you to share, in just the right place.  You might be surprised at what you hear back!
