Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.
Lord,
I am so grateful that You run after me with open arms, ready to welcome me in and forgive me. There is no part of You that You withhold from me. Your love and Your forgiveness is complete. I desire to live fully in that love and learn to love more and more like You every day. Let the words of this verse be the words of my heart. Give me a gentle spirit that seeks to build up rather than tear down. Let my words honor You in all things and help me to seek peace and forgiveness even in the most difficult circumstances. Help me to hold nothing back but to love and forgive as freely as You have loved me. Amen.
