For sin’s meager wages is death, but God’s lavish gift is life eternal, found in your union with our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.
God,
Thank you for Your lavish gift of salvation through Jesus – the offer of real life through a relationship with You. What You offer is so rich and beyond our comprehension of what good can look and feel like. On our own we could only earn (and even deserve) a life that could never sustain us and ends in death and separation from You. But You go above and beyond and shower us with the gift of Your love, heaping grace and mercy and forgiveness upon our hearts with great abandon, though we do not deserve a fraction of it. As we celebrate Easter today may that gift be ever present in our hearts and in our minds and may we celebrate with grateful hearts made whole and new by the power of Your love. Amen.
