Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Sometimes I think worry is my biggest obstacle to being able to hear God clearly in my life. I might pray, but I do not always actively seek to rest in His answer, waiting, watching, and expecting for Him to move. I allow worry to be the noise in my head that keeps me from hearing God.
I can confidently tell you that worry is not God’s response…to anything. His voice and His leading ushers in a sense of peace. It is that peace that helps us to walk confidently in the direction God is calling us instead of getting stuck in a cycle of worry.
As you pray this week, try to quiet the voice of worry. Pray expecting God to move, asking for His peace in whatever situation you face. Then wait for His peace to overwhelm you, leading you in the direction He would have you go.
