Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place

Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

When does Jesus pray? VERY EARLY in the morning, while it was still dark. He went to a solitary place. Why? Because as we read in the next two verses:

36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

Can’t Jesus get any peace and quiet? It seems He cannot. Yet He must make time to talk with His Father. This is important to Jesus. So, he makes it a priority to get up very early, leaves the house and goes to a solitary place. TO PRAY.

Jesus prayed in grief and Jesus prayed in gratitude. Jesus looked to His Father for support and strength. Jesus was thankful and never doubted the abilities of the Lord.  Jesus shows us that we can talk to Our Father when we are faced with sadness and despair. Jesus also encourages us to put our trust in our Heavenly Father and to be thankful for all we have.

The Lord is with you always! He is faithful! He provides!
