Read: Philippians 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever prayed and prayed to God for something in your life and then one day something happens, and you know it was God answering your prayers? Everything seemed to fall into place and there is no denying the answer was of God. That was the case with my husband and me last year. We had been praying for several months about a new idea that would change our lifestyle. It was a biggy! Then one day, something took place that led to additional things happening that led us to know God said yes. We thanked Him repeatedly for the blessings He poured out on us not only in answering but also in providing a way to begin the journey. The stage was set, we were ready, and then: silence. Our brains seemed blocked on what we were supposed to do next! We prayed and prayed again but nothing. Then I started to hear another voice, the voice of impatience – the voice of satan. That voice was telling me I had to take control of the situation and figure out what we should do next. That resulted in frustration, doubt, and sadness.

It is important to recognize who we are listening to when we think God isn’t speaking. Feelings that are not of joy, peace, or faithfulness are not of God.  In fact, they are feelings that will derail us from the plan God has for us.

My husband and I still do not have the answers we thought we should have, but I recognized who I was listening to and turned my attention to the One who will have the answers in His time. I choose to believe what God says, He is faithful to meet our needs. No matter the circumstances or feelings we may have in our life, thanking God in all circumstances will bring a sense of positivity that can only be attributed to the mighty hand of God. It doesn’t matter if your glass is half full or half empty, if you drink the water Jesus gives you, you will never thirst. (John 4:14)
