He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain. All the old ways are gone.
Wile E. Coyote was a cartoon character from the Looney Tunes Show of the early 50’s continuing in reruns for decades. That poor coyote was so hungry and all he wanted to do was catch the road runner for dinner. He fell off cliffs and blew himself up via Acme products more times than I could keep track of. As a kid I always wondered how he was able to be back at it after the next commercial.
Problems in our life can seem like Wile E. No matter how hard we try, we fail to succeed in finding a solution. The reality is, pain and suffering are inevitable in this life. Some will find solutions or healing, but others may not. However, in the Book of Revelation John tells us of a place where there will be no pain. That place? Heaven. The suffering we are experiencing in this world will be gone. We will be rejoicing with our Savior!
As we experience difficulties in our life, let’s make every effort to turn our focus away from the problem and dream about the promises awaiting us in heaven….Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth disappeared, and the sea vanished. And I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared and ready, like a bride dressed to meet her husband. I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: “Now God’s home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. Revelation 21:1-3
