Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Have you ever prayed day after day and didn’t think that there had been any results or maybe you started to question if you will ever see an answer? Maybe you have questioned if the Lord even hears you at all.
Today’s Scripture commands us to continue to pray. It actually calls us to DEVOTE ourselves in prayer. To devote means to give it our all; to dedicate ourselves to prayer. It means being consistent and not giving up.
Scripture also tells us to be watchful. Hmmm, this makes me wonder what have I been missing out on…It encourages me to not just watch for blessings and answers to prayer, but SEARCH for them. Friends, I am embarrassed to admit that I have had prayers answered that I didn’t even realize God was answering. God works in mysterious ways! AND… He is ALWAYS working!!
Be intentional about searching out and discovering HOW God is working everything for your good!! How will you thank Him today for how He is working in your life? Enjoy this beautiful day that the Lord hath made for YOU! You are His beautiful creation and He loves you very much!!
