Read Jeremiah 31:3 NLT
Long ago the Lord said to Israel:
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”
The Bible is a story of God’s great love for us. We might be tempted to think that love doesn’t really come into play until Jesus comes on the scene in the New Testament, but every good love story has an origin story. In this series we’ll go back to the beginning to see if we can understand where that love comes from and grasp the faithfulness God has displayed to His creation throughout time.

As we read the beginning of Your story of love, open our eyes and help us to see the ways You have been faithful to generation after generation, setting the stage for Your ultimate display of love through Jesus. Connect the dots in Scripture that lead us to grasp the fullness of Your love for us. Amen.
