Daily Devotionals

July 28th, 2025

Each week of devotions throughout our Live Worthy series on Ephesians will be spent on a single chapter.  We encourage you to re-read the chapter each day. Additionally, we will focus on a few key verses each day. This week, we will focus on chapter 3 of Ephesians

Read: Ephesians 3

Read: Ephesians 3:7-8 (NIV) “I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ”

Paul describes himself as a “servant” (or minister) of this gospel, not by his own merit or ability, but “by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.” He humbly declares himself “less than the least of all God’s people,” yet it was to him, this humble servant, that the incredible task of preaching the “unsearchable riches of Christ” to the Gentiles was entrusted. This reminds us that God often chooses the most unlikely vessels to accomplish His greatest purposes, not based on our worthiness, but on His sovereign grace and empowering Spirit. Our calling, whatever it may be, is a gift of grace, not a reward for our efforts.

Pray: Lord, we thank You for Your amazing grace that calls and equips us for Your service. Forgive us when we rely on our own strength or feel inadequate. Help us to embrace Your power working through us, knowing that any good we do is a result of Your gift. Amen.
