Daily Devotionals

July 27th, 2025

Each week of devotions throughout our Live Worthy series on Ephesians will be spent on a single chapter.  We encourage you to re-read the chapter each day. Additionally, we will focus on a few key verses each day. This week, we will focus on chapter 3 of Ephesians

Read: Ephesians 3

Read: Ephesians 3:1-6 (NIV) “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles— Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”

Paul begins this chapter by reminding the Ephesians (and us) of his unique calling to bring the good news to the Gentiles. He speaks of a “mystery” that has now been revealed. For centuries, God’s covenant people were primarily Israel. But through Christ, a profound truth has been unveiled: Gentiles are now equally co-heirs, co-members of the same body (the Church), and co-sharers in the promises of God, all through the gospel of Jesus Christ. This was a radical concept in Paul’s day, breaking down centuries of division and prejudice. It highlights the expansive, inclusive nature of God’s love and salvation.

Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing the glorious mystery of Christ. Thank You that through Jesus, all barriers are broken down, and we, both Jew and Gentile, can be united as one in You. Help us to truly grasp the depth of this unity and live in light of it. Amen.
