Read: Ephesians 2:4-5 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
Here’s the glorious “but God” moment! Despite our lifelessness and deserved wrath, God, in His immense love and rich mercy, intervened. He “made us alive with Christ.” This is not something we earned or initiated; it is entirely His doing, a resurrection from spiritual death. The profound truth is emphasized: “it is by grace you have been saved.” Pause and meditate on “God’s great love” and “rich mercy.” How do these attributes of God make this transformation possible?
Pray: Heavenly Father, we are overwhelmed by your great love and rich mercy. When we were dead, you made us alive! Thank you for the incredible gift of salvation by grace through Christ. Help us to grasp the depth of this truth and live in its freedom. Amen.
