Read Psalm 63:5 “I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise You”.
In this verse, David says that he will be “fully satisfied”. Can you imagine? He was in a deep wilderness season, and he was declaring that he would be “fully satisfied.”
Something important was happening to David in the wilderness. He was being prepared for the work God had planned for him to do beyond the wilderness. David was able to keep His eyes on God, despite the struggles.
Romans 8:28 tells us that “we know that in ALL THINGS God works for the good of those who love Him, and who have been called according to His purpose”. All things….that’s everything…including wilderness sessions!
The wilderness didn’t destroy David; it prepared him and built him up. The caves, lonely nights, and seasons of waiting shaped him into the king God intended him to become.
God often does His deepest work in hidden places.
Reflection: How might God be building something lasting in me right now?
Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your process. Build a strong foundation of faith in me.
