Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
This week, we heard from several of our Cross Creek family about their experiences as they sought to know God more fully in their lives through choosing a word for the year. Our prayer is that you will see that you have a story to share, too! God is doing something in you also! Don’t let those stories stop with these devotionals. Keep sharing your stories and cheer each other on in the process.
God,
We thank You for the willingness of others to share what You have done in their lives so that we might learn to see You more clearly in our own lives. Help us to continue to tell our stories and to cheer each other on in our journeys to surrender our hearts and our lives to You each and every day. Let us encourage each other to pursue You with everything we have, with the goal of knowing You better and becoming the people You have created us to be – doing exactly what we were created for. Thank You for Your love and care for us. Amen.
