Day 21 Focus: Pray for God to bring fruit that lasts from the season of 21 days of prayer
4-5 Remain joined to me, just as I also remain joined to you. No branch can bear fruit by itself. It must remain joined to the vine. In the same way, you can’t bear fruit unless you remain joined to me. I am the vine. You are the branches. If you remain joined to me, and I to you, you will bear a lot of fruit. You can’t do anything without me.
16-17 You did not choose me. Instead, I chose you. I appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit that will last. I also appointed you so that the Father will give you what you ask for. He will give you whatever you ask for in my name. Here is my command. Love one another.
Pray
Lord,
We thank you for these 21 days of prayer that have allowed us to focus on connecting with you. We thank you for the ways that you have shown up in our families, in our marriages, in our neighborhoods, and in our church. We pray that as we move from here that we would continue to seek you in prayer and fasting with joyful expectation of how You will move.
We pray that we will emerge from this time changed from our encounter with you. Let the evidence of the presence of Your Holy Spirit have a lasting effect on who we are – the way we speak, the way we act, the way we treat others, the way we serve, and the way we worship You. God, I pray that our lives would be marked by love, joy, and peace. That patience, kindness, and goodness would overflow from us. And that faithfulness, gentleness and self control would be the desires of our hearts. Help us to live by your spirit and not by our strength, speaking boldly of your truth and loving others with your magnificent love. Amen
