Day 16 – Loving One Another
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Jesus, I ask You to continue to transform me to be more like You. I want my life to be marked by humility and selflessness. Help me to take time to understand and to learn, and to show love through listening, responding, and through my actions. When pride or selfishness creeps in, let Your love and humility win out. Help us as followers of Christ, to show the world that we are Yours by our love for You and for one another. May we model our lives after You and be examples of unconditional love. Teach me in everyday moments about sacrifice through my time and being willing to pause for others. Help me to love like You do. Amen.
