Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
For the past several years, we have encouraged people to choose a word for the year. We wholeheartedly believe that God wants to grow us in new ways and choosing a word of action helps to refocus us on what God wants to do in us. The rest of this week’s devotions are written by people from our church, focusing on what God showed them this last year through their word for the year.
But for today, let’s seek God in prayer together for direction for our own lives in this new year.
Heavenly Father, remind me of Your great love for me today. A love that stretches across my horizon and reaches into every corner of my life flooding it with light. Fill my heart and my mind with Your love and help me to stand firm in Your Word and Your plan for me. Guide me to trust Your leading and to seek out Your desires for my life this year. I hold my life out to You with open hands. Open my eyes to see the things You want to change in me, the things You want to grow in me, and the ways You desire to express Your love to me. Thank You in advance for what You are going to do in me and through me this year. Amen.
