21 Days of Prayer

Day 4 – Worry

Philippians 4:6-7 MSG

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

God, You know that the list of my worries sometimes piles up. I often allow those worries to overwhelm my thoughts and spill over into all the areas of my life, impacting my decisions and my actions. My worries cause me to make rash decisions out of fear and they often cause me to retreat. Either way they keep me captive preventing me from living the life You have intended for me. Today, I choose to make my worry list, my prayer list. I ask that you would protect me, removing all anxiety, fear, and worries that I may be holding onto. I surrender them to You and I ask You to take over and move in a mighty way to provide healing and restoration of my heart and mind. Amen.
