21 Days of Prayer
Day 3 – Family Relationships
Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced. You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.
Lord, I ask You to bring supernatural health in one of my family relationships. I know that there is hard work involved in truly getting along with each other. Help my heart to be willing to put in the work. Show me areas where I need to put myself aside and walk in grace, love, forgiveness, and selflessness. Give me eyes to see my family members as You see them, believing the very best in others. Help me to honor my family both in my words and my actions. Bring restoration and healing where it is needed – to let go of things that don’t matter and to hold tightly to the things that do. You love my family more than I do – I trust them to You and I am believing the best is yet to come in my relationships. Amen.
