“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
Jesus,
I am so humbled by the love you have displayed for me. Time after time I have messed up and yet your love and grace is still there for me, illustrated so beautifully by your sacrifice. Thank you for forgiving me. I am amazed and grateful, yet I don’t always extend that same grace to those around me. I can be sharp with my words and so cutting with my actions, making it difficult for anyone to ever measure up to my expectations. Help me to shed those things today. Help me to see people as you see them and to love them as you would love them. Place your gentleness and patience on me and let your kindness and mercy flow from me.
