For even the Son of Man did not come expecting to be served but to serve and give his life in exchange for the salvation of many.”
I’m not a fan of puzzles. The prettiest ones seem to be the hardest to assemble and I find myself losing patience before I’m finished. What I dislike most is when I discover there is a piece missing. It could be a brand-new box and somehow a piece seems to fall from the pile and disappear forever.
It reminds me that we are a very important piece of God’s puzzle. We have been blessed by Him and owe it to Him to share that blessing with others.
While Jesus walked the earth, His mission was love and service to others. Two thousand years later, His mission is ours. We are called to do the same. Yet we cannot complete that mission until we put the needs of others before ourselves.
Sacrificing our time and resources for those in need continues the mission He began. We become His hands and feet in a world that needs to see Jesus. All we need to do is accept the mission. When we do, a seed is planted, and God’s kingdom is glorified.
Let’s make every effort to ensure we are not the missing piece in the puzzle.
