Read 1 Corinthians 3:7 NLT

It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.

We can easily put God in a box with expectations of how we think He should do things. We   tend to assume that God thinks like we do. But, sometimes it seems like God is on a completely different timeline than we are. Many times we say a prayer and already have the sequence of events played out in our minds of how we see God answering that prayer. The problem is that God’s timeline often has a few more stops in it than ours. He sees and knows so much more than we do. He is always doing something greater – on an even bigger timeline than we can fathom. The power of prayer is in the seed that is planted – not the one saying the prayer. We can’t make things happen…oh, but God can and His timing is always perfect!

Ask

Think about a time when you had to pray about a situation and then step aside to let God handle it. How did His supernatural power and timing create an even better outcome than you were praying for?

We are living in a revival generation, in thanks to the seeds that were sown by previous faithful generations. In what ways do you see the fruits of those prayers in your life today?
