Read Romans 5:6-8

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

There is an amazing book and study called The Search for Significance by Robert S McGee. I did this study independently several years ago, and it was life-changing for me. One important thing I discovered through this study was that understanding and believing in God’s truth is the first step toward discovering our significance and worth. True self-worth does not come from anyone except God. We experience glimmers of love through relationships with friends and family, but true, unconditional, never-ending love and acceptance can only be experienced through relationship with our Creator, our Heavenly Father.

God proves His love to us in so many ways: creating a perfect world for us, giving us everything we need, sending His One and Only Son to die for us (while we were still sinners), and giving us the gift of the Holy Spirit that lives within us to guide us. You are loved, just as you are!

From The Search for Significance by Robert S McGee:

My identity in Christ

Because of Christ’s redemption I am a new creation of great worth. I am deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, totally accepted by God, and absolutely complete in Christ.

There has never been another person like me in the history of humankind, nor will there ever be. God has made me an original, one of a kind, really somebody.
